First forays into blogging

This was inspired by a friend’s recent post to her blog.  I need to start writing more about the absurdities and hilarities that occur on an hourly basis in my life, so why not start a blog?  It will be shared, but most importantly, it’s for my own healing process as I work through the complicated twists and turns of my mind.

The first and foremost hilarity–I can’t seem to figure out how to change the name of my blog.  QFHA is an abbreviation for “Quimby-Fischer-Quaint-Abode,” pronounced “Kafka.”  Yes, it should read “QFQA.”  For some reason I substituted “humble” for “quaint,” and now I can’t fix it.  Back in 2007 when we moved into my house, it was called “QHHQ” or “Quimby-Hopkins Head-Quarters.”  Even though technically there are still two small Q-H’s who live here, we needed a more representational moniker for the roof over our heads.  So QFQA it is.

I’ll be adding photos, updates, all the usual stuff that goes into a blog.  For now, bear with my self-indulgence to see my tiny world opened up to the rest of the internet.

Here’s hoping you don’t wake up to a house filled with giant cockroaches. Writing is good for the soul. Thank you for making me part of your process.

hey BQ! welcome to the blogosphere, the blogdome, the blagovich estate… speaking as someone who has started, but never continued no fewer than four blogs, i expect you might find it difficult to keep the creative motivations flowing. not to worry, though: we’ll be here to nag you back into action!

looking forward to reading what you have! 🙂
